2013 Subaru Legacy Owner's Manual
SubaruLegacy is an all-wheel drive station wagon of the βDβ class. The restyled version of the fifth generation of the model debuted at the New York Auto Show in April 2012.
The appearance of the updated Legacy has not changed too much. Only the front part of the car was revised, receiving a new bumper, radiator grille and optics. Much more innovation can be found under the station wagon body. In particular, it hides a modernized suspension with increased rigidity of the front struts and rear subframe. In addition, Japanese engineers installed different springs and shock absorbers, as well as a thicker rear anti-roll bar. All this is done to make the trip to the Legacy more comfortable, and body roll is reduced by almost half.
There are two engines in the SubaruLegacy powertrain lineup. Both, traditionally for the Japanese brand, are horizontally opposed. The 2.5-liter gasoline engine produces 173 hp. With. power and 236 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or Lineatronic CVT. The second gasoline unit, 3.6-liter, has 256 βhorsesβ (350 Nm) and is coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission. However, a larger engine is available mainly in the American market.
