2011 Subaru Legacy Owner's Manual
SubaruLegacy is an all-wheel drive sedan of class βDβ. The premiere of the restyled version of the fifth generation of the model took place at the New York Auto Show in April 2012.
Three years after the debut of the next generation of Legacy, Subari designers decided to slightly refresh its appearance by redesigning the front bumper, radiator grille and fog lights. But this is only the visible part of the car’s innovations. It has changed much more inside, which is especially clear when looking at the list of basic and optional equipment. It, of course, includes the most necessary safety systems, such as airbags, ABS and EBD, as well as a lot of auxiliary equipment – adaptive cruise control, rear view camera, multimedia complex with a 7-inch touch screen, audio system and much more.
Subaru is proud to introduce innovative EyeSight technology into the Legacy, which works in direct conjunction with cruise control. The essence of this technology is that a video camera at the top of the windshield constantly monitors road markings, traffic neighbors and pedestrians. In the event of a danger of collision and hitting a pedestrian, the system will forcefully stop the car if it is moving at a speed of no more than 30 km/h. If the speed is higher, the electronics will try to minimize the consequences of a possible incident.
