2024 Subaru Forester is an affordable compact crossover that is not afraid of dirt and light off-road, capable of getting you to your destination with the appropriate comfort and quality. Considering the fact that in 2023, Subaru carried out a thorough restyling of the model, as they say there are no limits to perfection, the company’s engineers and marketers had to work again so that the model was able to fight for a place in the segment and for its customer.

The updated model received LED fog lights in the basic configuration and a rear spoiler on the roof for the Premium configuration. In the Limited configuration, the fog lights are supplemented with black overlays with a geometric texture.

2024 Subaru Forester Technical characteristics

In place of turbocharged engines, the latest generation Forester is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine with a volume of 2.5 liters. The power of the power unit is 182 hp, and the torque figure is 176 Nm. The power unit is paired with a CVT variator and Subaru’s well-known all-wheel drive system.

The company’s engineers improved the crossover variator, which improved the torque response at low revs. This combination allows you to accelerate a medium-sized crossover to the first hundred kilometers in 8.3 seconds. Interior decoration materials are of very high quality: the car seats are upholstered in leather, and the plastic both looks and feels pleasant and moderately soft. One of the strengths of the Forester is its interior space, which is the most capacious among cars in the compact crossover segment. The entire crew of the crossover has plenty of legroom and headroom, allowing each passenger to enjoy the comfort and smoothness of the car’s ride.

All Forester models in the basic configuration are equipped with an infotainment system with a touch screen and the latest Starlink interface from Subaru. In the initial configurations, the display diagonal is 6.5 inches, and in more expensive versions, an 8-inch display with Apple CarPlay q Android Auto support is installed. Two USB ports for the front row of seats are standard, and two similar ports for rear passengers are available on most trim levels except the base.

Depending on the selected set of options, the car is equipped with an audio system with four, six or nine speakers. Also, among the interesting options, it is possible to highlight the built-in WIFI for 4G LTE data transmission, which is also available in all configurations except the basic one.

Safety and driver assistance systems

All Forester models already in the basic configuration have a standard package of Subaru EyeSight driver assistance systems, which includes the following functions:

• Automatic emergency braking;
• Lane departure warning system and lane keeping assistance;
• Adaptive cruise control;
• Warning system about average traffic behind;
• Monitoring of blind spots.
