The signature interior of the fifth Impreza is quite recognizable. The designers chose not to change the general features of the car’s interior; instead, individual elements were revised. Among the main features, it is worth noting a brand new 6.5-inch screen on the center console, a slightly modified instrument panel, an updated steering wheel, as well as more recent forms of decorative elements.

Perhaps the main feature of the Impreza is the fundamentally new SGP platform, the introduction of which increased body rigidity by 70%, body roll decreased by approximately 50%, and oncoming energy absorption characteristics during impact increased by 40%. The chassis of the car has remained virtually untouched; there are McPherson struts in the front, and an independent multi-link system in the rear. However, the rear anti-roll bar has been integrated into the body, reducing roll and improving overall handling. As always, the model is equipped with a symmetrical all-wheel drive system.

Japanese engineers slightly modified the design of the boxer power plant, which increased its power to 152 horsepower. The engine can be paired with a Lineartronic CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission.
