The 2024 model is a facelift of the previous version of the crossover. The same platform and body, which received updated optics, bumpers redrawn by designers with a new location of fog lights.

The car belongs to the class of compact crossovers, although it does not stand out with extraordinary off-road qualities, it is still an all-wheel drive crossover with an affordable price tag and a sufficient level of economy and practicality.

In addition to all-wheel drive, the Crosstrek model has off-road rubber shod on 17-inch wheels and a ground clearance of 220 mm, which allows it to easily overcome city curbs and light off-road.

Among the structural changes, it is possible to note the chassis, which, according to the designers, has become 10 percent stiffer, minimizing rolls in turns and the overall roll of the car. The revised two-piston electric power steering has better response, and the manual transmission is no longer an option and will not be installed on the 2024 Crosstrek.

Engine transmission and performance

Under the hood of the car, there are still the same two engines to choose from, which work in tandem with a variator-type transmission. The gearbox has 8 virtual speeds and the possibility of manual gear shifting using the steering wheel paddles. Such a decision was made by Subaru engineers to help the driver when entering or descending steep slopes by controlling speed and torque using manual transmission control. As on most cars of the brand, four-wheel drive is included in the basic configuration.

The model is equipped with opposite engines, including a 2.0-liter four-cylinder atmospheric engine with a capacity of 152 hp. and a similar unit with a volume of 2.5 liters and a capacity of 182 hp. Motors are well known to all fans of the brand and do not need additional advertising. These are quite reliable and durable units designed for long runs and long-term work. The 2.0 liter engine is sometimes not enough to ensure proper driving comfort on various types of surfaces, but in the configuration with a more powerful power unit, the car does not cause any complaints, ensuring proper dynamics on asphalt and dirt surfaces both in the city and on the highway.

How much comfort does the Subaru Crosstrek offer

The interior of the car is still as spacious and comfortable as its predecessor. The designers of the brand left the ascetic design, the main element of which is the 11.6-inch infotainment display of the multimedia system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Despite modern automotive trends and examples of competitors, the instrument panel of the Subaru Crosstrek remains analog. A USB port, Type-S output and AUX are located under the multimedia screen. Rear passengers also have one USB port and a Type-S output on the center console. Legroom and headroom are enough for comfortable movement of 2 adult passengers.

Compared to the previous model, the extraneous noises in the cabin have become much less. The automaker paid special attention to noise insulation thanks to the additional installation of noise-insulating materials. The luggage compartment of the car has enough usable space, which is 310 liters in volume. The backs of the rear seats can be folded down to increase the luggage space for more bulky cargo, and there is a dock and a minimal set of tools under the false floor.

With the latest Crosstrek model, Subaru has added the latest Subaru EyeSight safety and driver assistance package to the base model, which includes automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.

Warranty and maintenance

The terms of the warranty for the car, its components and units at Subaru are exactly the same as those of competitors, except for the absence of scheduled free maintenance.
Warranty terms for servicing the Crosstrek model:

• The limited warranty covers three years or 60,000 km;
• The warranty for the power unit is 5 years or 100,000 km.
