Inside the Subaru XV, a very spacious cabin with a slight sporty feel stands out. What draws attention is mainly the design of the instrument panel, which seems to flow towards the front doors.

It is in the center of the instrument panel where we find a touch screen of up to eight inches that houses the infotainment and navigation system. As it could not be otherwise, this multimedia system integrates perfectly with our smartphones.

In addition to having an updated interior design, it highlights the excellent outward visibility (in all directions) and the capacity available in the cargo area. The trunk of the Subaru XV can accommodate a minimum volume of 385 liters. If we fold down the backrest of the rear seats, the trunk of the Subaru XV increases to 1,310 liters.

Like any good Subaru, it maintains permanent all-wheel drive and, of course, the range of boxer engines. In our market, the range of the new XV is made up of two gasoline units and one diesel unit. These are the prices of the 2018 Subaru XV.

They are all four-cylinder engines, but they have been redesigned and tuned (for the first time in 21 years). The range of gasoline engines is made up of a 1.6 engine (replacement of the previous 1.5) and a 2.0 engine.

The first of them has 115 HP of maximum power. The second offers a maximum power of 150 HP. Although the big news is that the engines are now more efficient and the 2.0 engine is only associated with a CVT automatic transmission, which Subaru calls Lineartronic.

As for the 1.6 engine, it is linked to the five-speed manual gearbox. For its part, the 2.0 diesel has a six-speed manual transmission. Although it has been presented, for the moment, it is unknown when this engine will arrive in the range.
