Taking advantage of the fact that a 2015 model Subaru XV diesel has passed through our hands (which includes the modifications that we told you about recently), we are going to review what this car provides and highlight its strong and weak points.

The Subaru XV is a compact SUV 4.45 meters long, all-wheel drive and weighing 1,510 kilos with a diesel engine. By the way, the engine is a four-cylinder boxer (with opposite cylinders) which is one of the hallmarks of the Japanese brand and which lowers the center of gravity of the vehicle due to the reduced height of the block.

It develops 147 HP of power and a torque of 350 Nm, approved average consumption of 5.6 liters per hundred kilometers, it has a 380-liter trunk and its diesel price starts at 25,000 euros, while in gasoline you have one from 19,000 euros. The rear seats of the XV are another of its strong points, the two on the sides because the central one is very narrow. They have plenty of legroom and headroom for even tall adult passengers. The trunk has a large loading surface and, although the wheel arches invade the sides, it is used well. It also has two sturdy bag-holder hooks and when the seats are folded down, the surface remains flat.

We will also find the diesel engine in both sections. The good thing is because of its velvety touch and minimal vibrations. Furthermore, it sounds little when we drive at a certain speed (slowly it can be heard quite a bit). The steering that has been improved in this update has gone from good to good (although not the best).

It has the common 12V socket at the bottom of the center console, but it is not alone, it is accompanied by an AUX socket and two USBs so that we can connect practically any music player. In addition, with two USBs we can also have a player with music connected and, at the same time, charge the mobile phone (for example).

And the best for last, the suspension/damping assembly. When you start driving the XV it may go unnoticed because the sensation is of a firm setting as you feel the small irregularities. Furthermore, the body leans little on the supports, which confirms the theory.
