2022 Subaru Brz Owner's Manual
As for the actual performance, the engine produces a peak of 231 hp. With. and 249 Nm of torque. It is equipped by default with a six-speed manual transmission, but hydromechanics (with steering wheel paddle shifters) for the same number of steps is also available. The drive is exclusively rear-wheel drive, and from the factory all cars are equipped with a Torsen limited-slip differential.
As before, the car is based on independent suspension with a sporty setup: MacPherson struts at the front and double wishbones at the rear. The steering gear ratio of 13.5:1 ensures quick response when turning the steering wheel.
As for the changes that are most noticeable in everyday use, it is worth noting the redesigned cockpit with a now digital instrument panel and an enlarged to eight-inch touch screen of the Subaru Starlink multimedia system (equipped by default with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).
As before, by default the car is equipped with sports seats with developed lateral support. The backs of the rear sofa (which is a derivative of the 2+2 seating formula) create a flat platform with the surface of the trunk, which can be used to transport slightly larger cargo that does not fit into the standard 178-liter trunk.
It is also important that after the change of generations, the BRZ coupe with automatic transmission received Eyesight Driver Assist Technology: two cameras mounted just below the upper edge of the windshield are responsible for recognizing vehicles and road markings.
