Subaru BRZ is a rear-wheel drive G1 class coupe. Second generation of the model. The car’s premiere took place on November 18, 2020.

The conceptual approach to the BRZ model has not changed with the change of generations: we are talking about a car that can prove itself both on the track and in everyday use. In the second generation, engineers tried to improve the coupe in each of these aspects.

Thus, a close to ideal weight distribution along the axles was taken as a basis, supported by a body that became more torsionally rigid (by 50%) and an even lower center of gravity. The latter was achieved through the use of a roof, hood and front fenders made of aluminum.

The larger four-cylinder naturally aspirated boxer FA24D also played an important role in moving the center of mass downwards. But even more importantly, it now produces 15% more peak torque than the previous 2.0-liter engine, and the increase in torque is noticeable throughout the entire rev range (by the way, the cutoff for this engine is located at 7500 rpm) .
