Standard four-wheel drive and a sufficient variety of safety systems make the Ascent a pretty reliable choice. Despite the fact that the SUV has not undergone any changes since the previous restyling, the car still attracts attention with its futuristic design on the outside and its practicality on the inside. Powertrain, transmission and performance

Under the hood of the SUV is still the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with direct fuel injection with a capacity of 260 hp, which accelerates the car weighing 2,007 kg to the first hundred kilometers in 6.7 seconds. The engine is mated to Subaru’s own continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). For greater control over the operation of the transmission, steering wheel switches are installed on the steering wheel to switch virtual gears and maintain the required number of engine revolutions in various operating modes of the crossover.

Like most Subaru models, the latest Ascent has all-wheel drive as standard, which, paired with 18-inch wheels and 220 mm ground clearance, allows the car to feel free on any type of surface. Combining a powerful engine with a torque of 375 Nm, a reliable transmission and four-wheel drive, the SUV is capable of towing a trailer with a total weight of up to 2300 kg.
